We are working hard behind the scenes to keep our customers in touch with the action we are taking to ensure our business and customers are kept safe and informed with COVID-19 going on and changing the world as we know it.
We will be putting up a sequence of articles with information about how COVID-19 will (or won't) affect our operations and customers.
With great challenges coming up; it's our chance to give you an update on how COVID-19 is (or isn't) affecting our business.
As you read on we'll touch on how we're handling the current status of this developing virus - and in the next day or two we will be sending out another email with some tips, tricks and practical advice. Some advice will have more relevance to our commercial customers; but an important read and factoid to aid our industry.
It's more or less business as usual for us. We're taking measures to protect our customers and team members as outlined below.
Stock Inbound + Current
There is no reason to be at all concerned about United Car Care products having risks associated with the COVID-19 virus. Virtually all of our stock comes by sea meaning the virus could not survive the lengthy expedition! We are working closely with all international suppliers to ensure they are taking precautions to protect our market; and in the case of any air freight shipments we will be taking additional precautions for disinfection.
There will be some delays on re-stocks of certain brands over the coming months. We have just received a re-stock of ValetPRO and Chemical Guys; with Fireball due in the next day or two. We understand that Fireball; coming ex-Korea - are battling freight delays at port and so we would suggest making use of the stock we have arriving in case of any delays if products go out of stock in the coming months.
United Car Care Environment + Team
We have added measures to further sanitize the environment at our showrooms and ensure high touch areas (reception counters, order packing areas) have hand sanitizer and disinfectant available. We have a small team; and members have been briefed on safety and sanitation requirements - as well as being told if they feel sick to not come to work!
Special care will be taken to ensure consistent cleaning of high touch areas such as EFTPOS, iPads displays, door handles and more.
Outbound Freight + General
Everything we're being told at the moment suggests that there is no immediate disruptions to outbound freight or reductions in schedule. If this changes as this all develops we will make sure to keep you all in the loop. We ask our international customers to take note that there may be delays on their shipments from their own countries ports.
The situation will be evolving day by day - and we will be keeping you informed about changes. Currently our shops and online store are operating business as usual. Detailing clinics/training will still be operating (limited numbers and increased sanitary measures). We are keeping a close eye on government and health department requirements and suggestions and will communicate any changes with our customers when known.
